Context: dotnet/project-system#1821 Once you start mixing in SDK-style projects into a solution, VS2017/VS2019 changes all the project type GUIDs in the solution file every time it saves. This is arguably a bug, but after 3 years it doesn't seem like it's going to be fixed. Time to stop fighting it and just let VS have its way.
