DocDokuPLM Indexer relies on Elasticsearch to search file or part.

Download and Install

Elasticsearch can be downloaded directly from their site in zip, tar.gz, deb, or rpm packages. Choose the latest 6.x version.

For Linux OS, prefer DEB packages or RPM packages that come with start/stop scripts.

Launch

If you installed Elasticsearch with DEB or RPM use $sudo service elasticsearch start and $sudo service elasticsearch stop to launch and stop the server.

For a zip based installation, just run $ELASTICSEARCH_HOME/bin/elasticsearch.
