Idea: write a plugin/mod for MC adding a new command, which an authenticated user (online mode, identity verified with Mojang's authentication servers) can type to get a secret per-user 'token', embedded in a clickable link to a web-based wsmc frontend. The backend would be able to verify this token therefore authenticating the user, without requiring any direct handling of the username/password.
