Running the Backend

Prerequisite

• [npm] (https://www.npmjs.com/)
• [mongo] (https://www.mongodb.com/)
• [Node] (https://nodejs.org/en/)

Steps

1. Clone the repo
2. Set up mongoDB
3. Run the server
4. You are ready to set up the front end!

1. Clone the Repo

Clone the Nanny-Express-server code locally. In a terminal, run:

git clone https://github.com/cristinaguimaraes/Nanny-Express-server.git

2. Set up mongoDB

In the terminal, run:

mongod

3. Run the server

In a new tab in the terminal, run:

npm install
npm run dev

4. You are ready to set up the front end!

Navigate to Nanny-Express-client and follow the instructions in the README.md to finish the setup and run the application.
