What is the idea?

There is a fix on the main branch #622 + a couple of smaller PRs, which would justify another release. Also miniforge was asked to wait for another release, see conda-forge/miniforge#405 (comment)

Given that I tagged the last two releases aligned with @jaimergp, I can also assist to or do the 3.4.2 release.

There are two open PRs that are ready and haven been reviewed multiple times, that are potential 3.4.2 candidates and should improve future bug handling / debugging:

We can also release without those two PRs. Any options?

Thanks
