These are my dotfiles. There are many dotfiles like it, but these ones are mine.
Personal computer setup is configured to work with i3 and ZSH. Clone the repo and link your .vimrc
and .tmux.conf
with
$ ln -s Personal-Computer/.vimrc ~/.vimrc
$ ln -s Personal-Computer/.tmux.conf ~/.tmux.conf

Follow the instructions within this repo to install vim-plug
, a lightweight
plugin manager. Next, open up vim and run :PlugInstall
. All plugins specified within the .vimrc
will be downloaded
and configured
Some plugins (namely YouCompleteMe) support extra configuration files. These optinoal files are contained within the
Plugins
subdirectory.
Download iTerm2. Go to Preferences > Keys
.
Hotkey : Control+Space
Download Oh-My-Zsh. Set theme to avit
. Copy avit
theme to custom directory:
cp ~/.oh-my-zsh/themes/avit.zsh-theme ~/.oh-my-zsh/custom
Comment out LS-COLORS
section.
Download Spectacle
Center : Shift+Command+C
Left Half : Shift+Command+Left-Arrow
Right Half : Shift+Command+Right-Arrow
Top Half : Shift+Command+Top-Arrow
Bottom Half : Shift+Command+Bottom-Arrow
mkdir ~/Pictures/Screenshots
defaults write com.apple.screencapture location ~/Pictures/Screenshots
killall SystemUIServer
For any Mac using 60% mechanical keyboard, complete the steps below
Go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard > Modifier Keys
Caps Lock : Caps Lock
Control : Control
Option : Option
Command : Command
mkdir ~/Library/KeyBindings
cp DefaultKeyBinding.dict ~/Library/KeyBindings
