  • Time: 11:15a–12:15p Pacific / 8:15p–9:15p Central European
  • Place: YouTube livestream, see Call Details below

If you want to help Bisq grow, then this is the meeting to attend!

Everyone is welcome, and there's no need to RSVP or register, but if you do plan to attend, please add a 👍 below so we have an idea how many people will be there.

Note also that you can subscribe to the Bisq DAO Google Calendar to get notifications about this call and other Bisq events. See https://bisq.network/calendar.

Agenda

You'll find the general agenda of our growth calls here: https://github.com/bisq-network/growth/blob/master/docs/growth-meeting.md

As decided on our first growth call (6th of Dec '17) we will focus all our efforts for the next two months on increasing liquidity on the Bisq network.

Before we can grow the number of overall traders on the Bisq network, we first need to make sure that we have plenty of liquidity available in major trading pairs, esp. EUR and USD.

This means that anyone who considers themselves a potential 'market maker' or 'liquidity provider' is especially welcome on this call, to help us brainstorm ways to make Bisq an attractive place to be for you. We already have a number of ideas, and are looking to get your feedback.

Note that while we're happy to have pro and semi-pro traders serve as liquidity providers, we're also looking for anyone who simply has a need to sell BTC on a regular basis, e.g. for basic cash flow purposes.

This week will be about:

  • Planning of the USD/BTC liquidity week (payment methods, possible participants, marketing activities)
  • Create playbooks for running Liquidity weeks (see first Draft)
  • Market maker, liquidity provider, liquidity week participation rewards
  • Short tech tree overview by @flix1

Feel free to add any remarks below or points you want to discuss on this weeks growth call!

@ripcurlx, I've changed the title to use 2018.01.25 date notation, as this is an unambiguous format for both US and European minds, and I've also removed the #5 notation, as (a) I'm not sure it adds any value, and (b) it conflicts with GitHub's own issue numbering notation, eg. this issue is #33, so it's odd to see issues with titles like Growth call #5 #33. Ok for you?

The idea is to standardize the process of bootstrapping the market with each new currency. This includes rewarding contributors for reaching milestones, scheduled events like liquidity weeks and for creating marketing content like video tutorials.

It could look like this:

  1. Reward for basic research on payment methods for currency X. 10 $BSQ
  2. Bounty for 1st trade in new currency X. 50 $BSQ
  3. Bounty for video tutorial for currency X. 200 $BSQ
  4. Reward for participating in Liquidity Week for currency X. 20 $BSQ

Actually I'm not sure if I'm able to post the hangout invitation link before the actual hangout is started. When I try to start the hangout a couple of times of the same event, I always get a different invitation link.

I'll start the hangout today already at 8pm and will send out the hangout invitation link on Slack in the growth channel.
