As per @leodube-aot 's analysis in #14355, we cannot fix these in Vue2 and they are obsolete in Vue3.

The fix -- when we upgrade to Vue3 -- should be as simple as removing .native modifiers without any extra changes.

Therefore this ticket is deferred until the actual upgrade to Vue3.
