On some platforms doing i2c reads of more than 255 bytes is problematic.
For exampls, some chips with lots of objects have an info block larger than
255 bytes.

Move the initialisation of sysfs attributes. Some of the sysfs functions
have guards in case they are accessed early during probe, or during
firmware flash. By ensuring the attributes are not present when they can be
mis-used, these guards can be removed.
