Notes

• Mettings automation - feat: add asyncapi events scheduling automation #308

  • we remove https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/asyncapi-users and use current MailChimp we have for Newsletter
  • we replace current Google Calendar with new one that is owned by official AsyncAPI account
  • we get instructions on how to host official AsyncAPI meetings. We have agreement in TSC to sponsor 8 Zoom licenses
  • all meetings will be live-streamed from now on, to enable easier participation

  all of this is because we are getting more and more meetings, and more and more mistakes on manual schedule. Time to automate!!!

• Mentorship - Mentorship program #284 (comment)
  Lukasz shared a proposal on how we can make it happen this year and what is the timeline, what needs to happen so coding can kick off in June. You have time until the end of next week to share your opinions.

• Conference:

  • Pairing in Dublin with Open Source Summit from Linux Foundation is not an option anymore, they changed schedule, start Monday, so we would have a competing event in different part of city. I think this is a good reason to resign from expensive Dublin
  • Once on Slack I shared that I know an amazing venue in Poland. This is not an option anymore because of the War in Ukraine. We do not know what future brings. Tourism is already dying in Poland, so if people do not come to see beautiful Cracow, then they will not come for a conference. We need different location in Europe to not affect AsyncAPI Community
