Coordinator and Standby Coordinator #938

Hi! I want to clarify further on the coordinator nodes. Based on the architecture there are a coordinator and a standby coordinator. What is the function of a standby coordinator and is it possible to have only one coordinator? Thanks in advance! |

One coordinator, the primary, is possible though not advised in a production environment. It serves the same purpose as mirror segments that is should primary fail mirror, or in this case standby coordinator, takes over. |
