.Local or .LocalDomain Does not Work #226
-
I saw some posts that people were able to use their bond .Local or .LocalDomain address instead of IP address, but although I can ping the address, the plugin won't recognize either of the addresses: [30/10/2022, 17:22:16] [Bond] Unable to find Bond for IP Address: xxxxx.localdomain. Skipping this Bond. Is there a trick to use .local instead of IP address? |

I finally found the answer after months of playing with my raspberry pi and reinstalling avahi, axios, node, npm, etc… I realized if I ping the serial number of my bond unit followed by the .local, it works 1 in 100th of the times and returns error otherwise 99% of the time, but when it worked, the ping showed a different rerouting address: espressif.localdomain So, simply change the IP address in the Homebridge Bond plug-in setup to espressif.localdomain and everything should work. Cheers! |
