- To run the bot in a docker container, you must first build the image using the following command:
docker build -t dollar .
- Once the image is built, you can run the container using the following command:
docker compose up -d
- This will run the bot, lavalink, and the database in separate containers. The bot will be connected to the database and lavalink automatically.
- After making code changes, you can rebuild the image and restart the container using the following commands:
docker-compose up --build -d
- A helper script has been created to make this process easier. To use the script, run the following command:
Windows:
.\scripts\rebuild-and-prune.ps1
Linux:
./scripts/rebuild-and-prune.sh
- The
.env.template
file contains the environment variables that the bot requires to run. - To run the bot, you must create a
.env
file in the root directory and populate it with the required environment variables.
For debugging purposes do not rely on the console output, and turn to the discord.log
instead.
