### Lloyd N. Morrisett
Lloyd N. Morrisett served as President of The John and Mary R. Markle Foundation from 1969 to 1998. He initiated the Foundation's program in communications and information technology. Morrisett was Vice President of the Carnegie Corporation of New York and of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching before going to Markle. While at Carnegie he worked with Ralph Tyler to help start the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP). More than three decades ago he helped found the Sesame Workshop, producers of Sesame Street and other educational television programs for children. He was chairman of the Workshop board from 1968 until 2000; he continues as a board member.

Morrisett was a board member of RAND (a research institute dealing with domestic public policy and national security issues) for thirty years and Chairman of the Board for nine years, 1986-1995. He was a trustee, for many years, of Oberlin College and was Chairman of the Board from 1975 to 1981.
