CHANGES:
-
World
• Added two new structures to find underground!
• The surface of tentacle planets now have ores consistent with other planet surfaces
• Heck biomes have new decorative 'bushes', sprites improved by cutieryan! They are invisible with the trypophobia patch -
Sprites
• New sprites for the Wrapping Table, made by Zennle!
• Many weapon sprites have been polished and improved thanks to Tea-Loving Lad!
• New tech icons: Grit+ (renamed to Gritty), Mobility+, Random Blink, Cold/Heat/Radiation Protection
• New item icons: Corn on the Blob, Empty Parcel, Tech Development Console -
Weapons
• Revolver stats adjusted to be more in-line with vanilla
• The Rusty Revolver and 250 ammo from the novakid ship locker is now given to all species upon starting a new character. Also moved the starting codices to a reward bag item
• The broken racial broadswords now have the Parry ability instead of Spin Slash
• Some weapons now must be upgraded from their lower-tiered counterparts at a Weapon Upgrade Anvil. They no longer spawn naturally. These weapons are: Chromosword (Cellshade), Coral Cleaver (Heat Cleaver), Cutarrh (Katarrhna), Undergrowth Trimmer (Overgrown Mower), Splatterknife (Gutterknife), Smashroom (Blighchen), Terminite (X-Terminitor), Hackman (Hackmanight)
• Hackmanight no longer acts as fuel. Description modified to not mention uranium
• Several procedural Betabound weapons have been rebalanced to be on-par with their vanilla counterparts
• Weapons that are normally dyeable but have a combination of parts which are all undyeable no longer claim to be dyeable
• Renamed Steel Spoon to Stirring Spoon
• Asuterosaberu DX and Alien Worm Gun are now craftable! Find or research the recipe
• Flamethrower is now craftable! Unlock the recipe by obtaining a Scorched Core
• Added procedurally generated shortswords, crappy shortswords, and crappy daggers
• Crappy weapons are now functionally identical to their non-crappy counterparts
• Magic Shroom Sword no longer does 'mixed' damage (poison for blade, fire/electric for projectile). Now picks either fire or electric as its element. Existing swords will do poison damage and have no projectile. You can change its element via a Metalwork Station
• Betabound procedural assault rifles removed and merged with their vanilla counterparts. Physical procgen assault rifles can now have the 'fast' bullet type.
• Betabound procedural grenade launchers removed and merged with their vanilla counterparts. Fire procgen grenade launchers can now have the 'Mario Fireball' projectile type.
• Cardinal's Chalcedony weapon no longer damages allies
• Weapons no longer show a projectile icon in their tooltip. This is because vanilla doesn't (grenade launchers have multiple projectile types) and it was confusing some players who thought it was an ammo requirement
• Candy Cane weapon is now a hammer, oops
• Rename procedurally generated flamethrowers to chemical throwers to avoid confusion with the vanilla flamethrower
• Flower Bouquet is no longer aimable
• Changed frying pan name generation as to not flow outside of the tooltip
• New ability for physical spears: Spear Charge -
Tech
• Morphball and Rolly Ball renamed to Bomb Sphere and Rolly Sphere, given new sprites
• Regeneration tech nerfed
• Environmental Protection Suit Techs are now obtained via crafting their corresponding EPP
• The human scientist's quest for the oxygen suit tech has been replaced with one where they simply give you a free tech binding station, but this quest is only available after doing the vanilla tech courses
• Mining Drill Tech is now a head tech instead of a body tech
• No longer requires double-tapping a direction; instead activated by holding F and pressing a direction
• This should help avoid accidentally toggling it
• Particle Thrust/Butterfly Boost/Bubble Boost: can now change direction with WASD without having to repress space. -
Equipment
• Durability on pickaxes and drills massively nerfed. It's been so long since I've used a repair tool.
• Copybooks can no longer copy blueprints (redundant due to blank blueprints existing)
• Changed the descriptions of weapon modifier items to be more clear on what they can be applied to
• Changed the "select X and apply to Y with right-click" text on some items to a less wordy "apply with right-click" or "apply to Y with right-click"
• Changed the descriptions of repair tools to indicate approximately how much durability they restore
• Crouching when using the Portable Pixel Printer will attempt to place it lower
• Betabound's short racial teleporters can no longer be bookmarked nor do they open a menu. Instead, they can be wired to another short teleporter to instantly travel between two places on the same planet! TIP: players in admin mode have greatly increased wire range
• The All-Seeing Cape that lets players see further is now the All-Seeing Eye
• Drill block radius reduced from 4 to 2
• Removed Lightweight Watering Can as it makes the vanilla Watering Can redundant and looks similar
• Replaced vanilla watering can sprite with Lightweight Watering Can's sprite, for consistency with the Wooden Watering Can's sprite
• Both vanilla watering cans no longer prevent the player from moving while in use!!!
• Fossil Extractor description now states that it unearths fossils embedded in solid blocks. This should help clear up confusion -
Food
• Coffee machine now turns coffee beans directly into mugged coffee. Liquid coffee can be crafted at any cooking table instead
• Coffee liquid can no longer be turned into any form of coffee other than the basic type. This is because you can use that basic type to make the other types of coffee
• Coffee, Flat White, and Mocha no longer return a coffee mug upon consumption
• Bottled Water, Bottled Healing Water, Antidote no longer return a bottle upon consumption
• Fluffalo Feed changes:
• Now consumed by the player rather than consumed by fluffalos
• Provides a defensive buff based on the type of fluffalo food
• Obtained from fluffalos instead of from Terramart -
Monsters
• Environmental Probes now have poison resistance -
Misc
• Orangenergy Cans are now confinscated if the player saves and quits during the tutorial intro mission
• The three coffee-related quests offered by the human survivor is now a single quest which requires obtaining coffee and a spoon
• Tech Binding Station now splits techs based on slot
• The music sheet dropped before the Ruin boss battle has been moved to the special reward bag given upon completing the main story
• Re-add Solarium Rods. Craft them with two solarium ore and one plutonium ore. It gives more ship fuel than solarium stars
• Rainbow Wood can no longer be used as fuel
• New 'Liquid Jelly' liquid, which can be found on the Ruin. It slows and poisons creatures.
• With OpenStarbound, ladders and paint go into the blocks tab of the inventory
• NPC's can drop more items into trash cans. Rotten food, rotten apples, revolting stew
• Removed "stronger planets have stronger NPC's SAIL message from Employer's Station
• Changed SAIL message for obtaining a Tech Development Station to tell the player how to download tech into their inventory and how to refine tech unlock items for tech cards -
Recipes
• The recipes for butter, peanut butter jar, and peanut butter trap are all unlocked by default in order to make progression clearer
• Moved Platinum and Diamond pickaxe recipes from Iron Tool Table to Robotic Tool Table

• Removed the scintillium/impervium compound recipes which used plutonium rods
• Disabled screws. The recipes which used them no longer use them. You can no longer craft this item.

• Breakneck Sprint and Rollyball no longer conflict
• Fix some muzzle flashes not being animated
• Obtaining a Slingshot no longer prompts a tutorial message about bows
• Adjusted several vanilla "Unique Weapon" categories. You're telling me this Dragonhead PISTOL isn't a pistol, but actually a completely foreign thing that requires us to pull out the "Unique" category?
• Stationary Radio range is now updated when the slider is moved, not just when the play button is pressed
• Fix Stationary Radio having unlimited range in some circumstances
• Fix Distress Beacon harmlessly unlocking a non-existent recipe
• Upgraded Poison Bow now properly shows itself in its tooltip
• Fix Pogo Sword ability icon being offset one pixel to the side
• Fix weapon modifier items being upgradeable
• Fix rare case where the Force Field suit tech could render the player unable to take any damage
• Environmental Protection suit tech now uses the correct icon when Starburst Rework is installed
• The player can no longer damage themselves with Terminite or X-Terminitor
• Giant Worm now appears in Research Station
• 'Simple Glasses' now show in the crafting menu
