How to Use the Brewery

At first glance, the Brewery can seem like a complex and difficult-to-understand piece of machinery. However, don't be too intimidated. The Brewery is actually quite simple to use.

The crafting recipe for the Brewery is somewhat expensive; it requires you already own a brewing stand, two cauldrons, and five iron ingots. However, if a mod is installed that adds lead or brass (assuming that the author has registered the ingots with the ore dictionary), the Brewery can be crafted from those ingots instead of iron.

First, place a fluid's container item in the top leftmost slot in the Brewery. This can be anything from a vanilla potion or a water bottle to Brewcraft's Potion of Combustion. For the sake of this guide, I'll use a vanilla water bottle.

This will not do anything. The tank next to the slot will not be filled, nor will any sort of recipe begin. This occurs when you place a corresponding item in the central slot of the GUI. In this guide, I'll use Nether Wart. This is, as many of you have probably noticed by now, the vanilla brewing recipe for the Awkward Potion. We'll get to what this means in a moment. Back on topic, once, you put the ingredient (Nether Wart, in this case) in the slot, the Brewery begins working.

You'll notice the two progress bars, one on the side of the tank, one next to the item slot. The one next to the tank is the progress of the recipe - this will, once it depletes fully, fill the output tank with an identical amount of the output fluid.

The progress bar next to the item slot does something a bit more complicated - it displays the amount of the ingredient item that is yet to be consumed. A Brewery recipe will take take an entire item, but rather a fraction of it, leaving behind the other fraction of the item. This progress bar shows the amount of item left. Make sense? Good. On we go. Once the output fluid has reached >= 1000mb (one bucket's worth of fluid), you can place an empty glass bottle or splash potion bottle in the top rightmost slot of the GUI. This will fill the bottle with the output fluid.

Now, back to the fact that this recipe is identical to the vanilla Brewing Stand recipe. The same goes for any other vanilla brewing recipe. They can all be brewed through the Brewery, along with the added potions.
