Productizing in-product announcements

Based on this Slack discussion about making in-product announcements a real feature, I wanted to see what needs to be done to formalize this.

We have an icon ready for it on the homepage, and I can easily put together content for the dedicated feature page. But until it's actually productized in the app, it may make sense to leave it off.

Some things we may want to do:

• Add a new tab for it in the app
• Build a dedicated UI for creating an in-product announcement, derived from Feature Flags
• Blog post announcing it

This is a cool idea but TBH I don't think it would move the needle and I don't quite see how to place it among other features of our product. It just seems like a very specific use case which would actually require quite a bit of work (e.g. how to make such announcements work visually with our customers' products) and would bring people some utility, but wouldn't bring insights. Our focus should generally be on the latter.
