Location-based Contact Tracing for COVID-19 Transmission Tracking v1.0.0

We are excited to announce the first release of our app which implements a novel contact tracing system using geographic information data from GNSS smartphone sensors. The app collects and analyzes the location coordinates of users every two minutes and evaluates their exposure risk to COVID-19. The app also notifies users who have been in contact with confirmed cases within the past 14 days and advises them to self-quarantine or get tested. The app is based on the research paper Location-based Contact Tracing for COVID-19 Transmission Tracking.

What's New in This Version?

  • Added registration and login screens for users to create and sign in with their accounts.
  • Added nearby devices section to show the list of device names that are in close proximity to the user, as well as the distance and duration of contact.
  • Added exposure notification section to show a message that informs the user that they have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the past 14 days, as well as the date and time of contact.
  • Added report status feature for users to report their COVID-19 test results through the app.
  • Improved the user interface design and performance of the app.

How to Install and Use the App?

  2. Register your device by entering your full name, contact number, and occupation in the university (optional).
