However, would it be possible to:

• keep the tiny cyan & yellow "shadows" around the magenta circle?
• keep some paintbrush shape instead of a perfect circle, as the symbol is an Enso.

I see you've made an exception regarding the gradient, if you don't like the gradient because it's not usual in Papirus then you can remove it.

@SmartFinn it's something that I made. Still work in progress though. If it's not "popular enough" for you to include in Papirus, I will understand don't worry. It's just that I have created an icon that fits Adwaita and as I love and use Papirus too I wanted an alternative that follows your design but I'm not good at all with Inkscape 😆

impossible. It's not our style

Well, if you want to remove the icon, do it, I guess it's why you ask.

Don't include it in Numix, and feel free to remove it from Papirus as well.
