  • App Name: MX Updater

  • Icon Name: mnotify-some-wireframe

  • Description: Re-enable MX Updater icon even if no updates available

  • Webpage (optional): https://github.com/MX-Linux/apt-notifier

  • Original Icon:
    mnotify-some-wireframe

  • Panel Icon:
    mx_updater
It is the icon that looks similar to the original icon.

@varlesh The tray icon uses mnotify-none-wireframe for no updates available and mnotify-some-wireframe to indicate that updates are available.

@varlesh Weird, I updated MX Linux 19 using the Papirus Installer script and it still retains the old icon on the panel. Do you think the icons are hardcoded?

@varlesh Well, I replaced the icons but, now the icon doesn't show up so I had to change it back. I used the svg icons, but it seems to only accept pngs.

I went to Iook at the preferences and I see where the rest of the icons are used.

@asqwerth Do you think you can contact the MX Team and see if they will make the MX Updater icon themable by other icon themes. (To use the Papirus Icon.)

@asqwerth Hardcode-Tray is a script that fixes panel icons of applications that refuse to change in an icon theme (Touchpad Indicator for example.) You can find it here: https://github.com/bilelmoussaoui/Hardcode-Tray

@varlesh The default MX Updater icon works perfectly with the new hardcode-tray update I just got today, So I am not sure if I should keep this issue open.
