Request: Update Signal Icon?

The icon for the signal desktop messenger looks really off compared to the other icons, and to the apps main icon. Could it be updated?

The big deep blue center, to me, gives it an aesthetic that looks fairly different than the other icons (none of which i know of have that) and stands out if place. Additionally, while I get where you're coming from smadding the white dashes to adapt it to your style, it looks much more different than the original logo than any other logo I'm aware of. Something that seems more in line to me is a white chat bubble with a thin solid white around it and that blue as the background only.
