  • For non-Linux: Is sandbox = true set in nix.conf? (See Nix manual)

  • Tested compilation of all packages that depend on this change using nix-shell -p nixpkgs-review --run "nixpkgs-review rev HEAD". Note: all changes have to be committed, also see nixpkgs-review usage
  • Tested basic functionality of all binary files (usually in ./result/bin/)
  • 23.05 Release Notes (or backporting 22.11 Release notes)
    • (Package updates) Added a release notes entry if the change is major or breaking
    • (Module updates) Added a release notes entry if the change is significant

I believe this update requires lima 0.14.0 to work correctly as it adds the initial support for vz. It requires #206285

Has worked for me on x86_64-darwin and current master.

It runs, but many features do not work. eg. try running with type 'vz'

@pecigonzalo Thank you for the info. I quickly scanned the release notes of colima v0.5.0 and found:

Support for virtiofs volumes (requires macOS 13 and Lima v0.14.0).

So let's head over to #206285 review it and bring it to master.
