Im pretty sure this is a bug because ive been told by mentors and others that monkeys can vent with nothing on them, but i cant seem to vent as a monkey

I'd have to see what actually happened, and test if a bug is occurring here, but it's possible the user was a simian (the race that can be selected during character setup) rather than a proper monkey. Simians can't ventcrawl, to my knowledge.
