Or at least a link to one. Inspired by microsoft/terminal#9673 - I don't think many people know that PSReadline is responsible for giving the prompt colors. Might be useful to have a go-to guide for changing them.

I agree, it would be great if it is explicitly explained as this is not trivial to figure out. Following Set-PSReadLineOption - Example 4: Set multiple color options, I have the following in my PowerShell profile.

Set-PSReadLineOption -Colors @{
  Number             = 'DarkGray'
  Member             = 'DarkGray'
}
