However, if you switch to dark mode with this option enabled, you will get black text on a dark background. You can change the system text color, but be warned that change will be system-wide. There is no registry setting to change the text color exclusively for Explorer. Setting a system text color that can be seen on both light and dark backgrounds is one workaround. Another option is to install the program [QTTabBar](http://qttabbar.wikidot.com/) (select the "beta" download). QTTabBar will automatically change Explorer's text to white when dark mode is enabled.
