There are extra copies of several files in various subfolders, presumably from the days when these were separate repositories. This poses problems for maintenance as we either have to update multiple files or let some of them fall behind, and it clutters the source folders a bit with extra text.
Each of these has a copy in the root folder that's either identical or more up to date.
Now the extra copies are removed.
In the case of AutoUpdate/README.md, a brief explanation of how the auto-updater works is added, since this file's contents were specific to that folder.
