IOS 6.x safari doesn't play

Hi,
Safari on my iPhone 4 running IOS 6.1.3, doesn't sound neither basic nor advanced demo webpage sounds. Safari on mac does.
Any hints?

no i didn't. I suspect it wouldn't play anyway.

I threw this together today: http://www.neeel.ie/ion/

Apparently doesn't work on iOS on either safari or chrome browser. Works fine on android chrome. Any ideas?
