@bionary today I was chatting with folks at https://irclog.perlgeek.de/pdl/2016-11-20#i_13600712 and saying that I feel bad that I haven't had a chance to look at this pull request. Can you please give me a sense of your status? Are you still hoping we'll merge this pull request some day? I still think the SolrCloud stuff is neat but it's not really a priority for us at the moment. Any thoughts? Thanks! |
@bionary I'm going to close this pull request. I'm sorry that we never got around to merging it. I know you worked hard on it. There's a good chance someone will take a look at this branch when we work on a Solr upgrade in #4158. For what it's worth, when I gave a recent talk ( http://wiki.greptilian.com/talks/2017/javaone-how-to-run-an-open-source-project ) I gave this pull request as an example of what open source projects shouldn't do. I encouraged you to contribute ( https://groups.google.com/d/msg/dataverse-community/0Jp-hhNdM38/FhyhHUw7EQAJ ) but then didn't help get this pull request merged. I appreciate the effort you put into it. Thanks. |
