How to compile

Install Git (the distribution you prefer)
Install Visual Studio and .NET Framework 4.6.1 http://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/download-visual-studio-vs
Clone project
Open MissionPlanner.sln with Visual Studio.
Build and run.
