Huge performance loss with last version (0.2.3+1.20.2) #41
Comments
Im having the same performance issue. Im losing almost half of my fps with 0.2.3 |
Are you still having poor performance on 0.2.4? |
Yep, the issue is still here |
Is this only when using Sodium and your other mods? Im guessing it could be related to render distance with how Distant Horizons only makes it worse for you. Could you try again with only Wakes installed and only Wakes+Sodium respectively? |
The last time I tried I didn't have distant horizons, but I indeed had sodium/iris. I will test without them and tell you the result |
The issue happens with Wake+0.2.4+1.20.1 (the version has 1.20.1 in the name but it is for Minecraft 1.20.2). The issue only happens with MC 1.20.2, 1.20.4 is perfectly fine even with sodium + iris + shaders |
@Aeldit are you still experiencing the poor performance? |
I re-tested with the following mods:
Minecraft version : 1.21.1 The issue only happens when both Wakes and Wynntils are used together (if all the mod except one of the 2 are used, there are no issue). |
When using this mod with Sodium, Iris and Bobby, there is a huge performance loss. It is even worse with other mods like Distant horizon.
I think I saw that the last version used shaders, so it may be the cause
Here are some screenshots I took while standing still without moving :

On the second screenshot I have a lot of stuttering and only -13 fps than without wakes, but it is worse when moving around
