If you are viewing a connection which uses "Start the interpreter using SSH" and hit the "New" button, and then select "Start an interpreter" (i.e. locally), the input form is still in a state where it offers "fetch the list of interpreters though ssh", and won't let you see the list of local interpreters until you try click "GO"
once and let it fail with "interpreter is required".
Did you connect to an already running interpreter or start the interpreter from RIDE?
