Bumps google.golang.org/protobuf from 1.25.0 to 1.28.1.

Release notes

Sourced from google.golang.org/protobuf's releases.

v1.28.1

This release contains protoc-gen-go binaries for arm64.

Notable changes since v1.28.0:

  • CL/418677: internal/impl: improve MessageInfo.New performance
  • CL/411377: proto: short-circuit Equal when inputs are identical
  • CL/419714: all: Add prebuild binaries for arm64

v1.28.0

Overview

The release provides a new unmarshal option for limiting the recursion depth when unmarshalling nested messages to prevent stack overflows. (UnmarshalOptions.RecursionLimit).

Notable changes

New features:

  • CL/340489: testing/protocmp: add Message.Unwrap

Documentation improvements:

  • CL/339569: reflect/protoreflect: add more docs on Value aliasing

Updated supported versions:

UnmarshalOption RecursionLimit

  • CL/385854: all: implement depth limit for unmarshalling

The new UnmarshalOptions.RecursionLimit limits the maximum recursion depth when unmarshalling messages. The limit is applied for nested messages. When messages are nested deeper than the specified limit the unmarshalling will fail. If unspecified, a default limit of 10,000 is applied.

In addition to the configurable limit for message nesting a non-configurable recursion limit for group nesting of 10,000 was introduced.

Upcoming breakage changes

The default recursion limit of 10,000 introduced in the release is subject to change. We want to align this limit with implementations for other languages in the long term. C++ and Java use a limit of 100 which is also the target for the Go implementation.

v1.27.1

Notable changes since v1.27.0:

  • CL/331149: cmd/protoc-gen-go: fix generation of enum defaults

v1.27.0

    - Get host if unset

    Disable Queue and Retry settings (#72)

    These are handled by the statsd package.
    OpenTelemetry docs are confusing and the default configuration (disabled)
    is different from the one returned by "GetDefault..." functions

commit a660b56
Author: Pablo Baeyens <pablo.baeyens@datadoghq.com>

    Add support for summary and distribution metric types (#65)

    * Add support for summary metric type

    * Add support for distribution metrics

    * Refactor metrics construction
    - Drop name in Metrics (now they act as Metric values)
    - Refactor constructor so that errors happen at compile-time

    * Report Summary total sum and count values
    Snapshot values are not filled in by OpenTelemetry

    * Report p00 and p100 as `.min` and `.max`
    This is more similar to what we do for our own non-additive type

    * Keep hostname if it has not been overridden

commit 168b319
Author: Pablo Baeyens <pablo.baeyens@datadoghq.com>
Date:   Mon Aug 3 11:05:01 2020 +0200

    Create initial outline for Datadog exporter (#1)

    * Add support for basic configuration options
    * Documents configuration options
* Backport changes from upstream PR

Remove `err` from MapMetrics

* Remove usage of pdatautil

* Fix tests

* Use TCPAddr

* Review which functions should be private
* Remove DogStatsD mode

* go mod tidy

* Remove mentions to DogStatSD
* Improve test coverage

Added unit tests for
- API key censoring
- Hostname
- Metrics exporter

Renamed test and implementation files for consistency

* Add one additional test
The zorkian API does not validate the API key unless you also have
an application key, even though the endpoint works without it.

I am removing this validation until this gets fixed on the zorkian library
* Rewrite without using OpenCensus metrics

We will need to add support for Summary metrics when they are
added back to the spec

* Remove `report_percentiles` option
It is no longer used

* Handle correctly the timestamps
They are given in Unix Timestamps in nanoseconds, thus we need to
transform them into Unix Timestamps in seconds
It doesn't work (probably needs changes upstream)
Apparently someone accidentally removed our module from go.mod upstream
* Push host metadata on startup

* Have the same behavior as the Datadog Agent with tags
Only env should be added to host tags if set.

* Apply suggestions from code review

Co-authored-by: Albert Vaca Cintora <albert.vaca@datadoghq.com>

* Run on separate goroutine and add exponential backoff

* Set User-Agent for zorkian's client and for the host metadata

* Disable Fast Fallback

Co-authored-by: Albert Vaca Cintora <albert.vaca@datadoghq.com>
* Add warning on README about upstream repository

* Delete the rest of the README
