IR Learning Remotes are able to use commands from a variety of other remotes (called Donor Remote), and are recognizable by a section of buttons located in a Study Zone, similar to the one in the pictures bellow:
These instructions should work with most types of factory bundled IR Learning Remotes
- On the IR Learning Remote, press the (blue) Power Button for 5 seconds, until the LED indicator remains on.
- Press a (blue) Study Button. The LED indicator should start flashing, indicating the remote is ready to learn.
- Place the IR Learning Remote and the Donor Remote 3-5 millimeters apart with the IR Sensors facing each other.
- On the Donor Remote, press the button that needs to be programmed into the Study Button.
- The LED indicator blinks 3 times on the IR Learning Remote then stays on. The Study Button has been programmed.
- Repeat steps 2 to 4 till all Study Buttons have been programmed.
- Once finished programming the IR Learning Remote, press any button outside the Study Zone. The LED indicator will turn off.
NOTE: If the study fails, the LED blinks 5 times. Simply repeat the steps.
- Press the upper-leftmost key and the bottom right corner key at the same time for 7 seconds until the LED indicator blinks 3 times to reset the IR Learning Remote.
