Further to forum discussion https://forums.classicpress.net/t/dashboard-news-after-migration/1956.

After migrating from WP 4.9.x to CP, the ClassicPress News box on the Dashboard still shows WordPress news as in the following screenshot.

Problems was resolved after clearing transients.

Only delete cached dashboard data once

See #67, previously this code would cause the cached news data to be
deleted whenever the migration plugin is active and certain dashboard
pages are loaded.
