Requirements

• Chrome based browser v88 and above

How to install

1. Go to release and download the latest version of the extension;
   • NB: You will find two version of the extension: Bait and Switch and Hidden Information, both detect a different type of dark pattern.
2. Extract the archive;
3. Open Google Chrome (or any Chromium based browser) and go to Settings -> Extensions (on the left menù);
4. Enable developer mode (Switch on the top right of the page);
5. Click Load Unpack and select the extracted folder;
6. The extension should appear in the list on the top right of the page.

How to use

1. Open the extension and activate the switch button on the top right of the window;
2. Navigate to a website and wait for the extension to detect Dark Pattern;
3. The numbered list should change and you can navigate through the list with the arrow (The extension will focus the selected dark pattern of the list automatically).

Guida all'installazione

1. Naviga nella pagina delle release e scarica l'ultima versione dell'estensione;
   • NB: È possibile trovare l'estensione in due versione Bait and Switch e Hidden Information
2. Estrai i file dall'archivio;
3. Apri il browser chrome, vai in impostazioni -> estensioni;
4. Attiva la modalità sviluppatore (Spunta in alto a destra);
5. Clicca il tasto Estensione non pacchettizzata e seleziona la cartella contenente i file appena estratti.
6. L'estensione dovrebbe comparire nella pagina appena aperta e in alto a destra nella lista delle estensioni.

Guida all'utilizzo

1. Attivare lo switch in alto a destra per attivare l'estensione ;
2. Navigare in un sito e attendere che l'estensione detecti i dark pattern all'interno della pagina;
3. Una volta aggiornata la lista la si può navigare con le frecce poste vicino ai numeri (l'estensione navigerà e sposterà il focus sull'elemento rilevato in maniera automatica).
