SoundSwitch Crashing after PC is Sleeping #797
Comments
@Blake-V-Walker Can you give the logs of the application and which version you are running ? Logs are in: %appdata%/SoundSwitch/Logs |
Thanks for responding so quickly. SoundSwitch is currently running version 6.1.2.0. Granted this may be a conflict with Windows 11, in which case fair enough and I'll wait for a new release I've attached all 3 logs. soundswitch20211019.log |
Hi, same problem here, version 6.1.2.0 too, but with Windows 10 soundswitch20211018.log |
@Blake-V-Walker & @jymorvan Does this appear seemingly "randomnly" ? Because I think I have an idea what is causing it. I'll see what I can do. |
When the PC wakes up, sometimes I just have a warning sound but I don't see anything else, and sometimes I have the popup from the original post ("It seems SoundSwitch has crashed ..." ), I click "ok", and the popup reappears another time, again I click ok, and that's it, I must then restart SoundSwitch. |
Can you both try this version and tell me if it's fixed for you ? https://f000.backblazeb2.com/file/SoundSwitch/nightly/SoundSwitch-6.1.13475.9379.zip You need to stop SoundSwitch and replace all the file by this build. |
I just did a quick test with this version by forcing sleep mode, I did not have an error when resuming. |
Sentry issue: SOUNDSWITCH-BJ |
I'll give this version a go for a day or so and get back to you. |
@Blake-V-Walker Actually, can you try https://f000.backblazeb2.com/file/SoundSwitch/nightly/SoundSwitch-6.1.13662.6170.zip instead ? It's more tailored to Windows 11 :) |

Hi All - Whenever I come back to my PC after having it slept for a while, my SoundSwitch has crashed without fail.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Clicking "Yes" to share the error with the developers just takes me to the main Github page.
I have reinstalled with the same issues.
