The UsdUVTexture node has an attribute for source color space with values of raw/sRGB/auto which allows sending the information thru Hydra (since the metadata on the file attribute gets filtered).
When this attribute is set in a Hydra material network and the value is not "auto", we must explicitly set the isColorSpaceSRGB shader value with the information provided.
