Description

The Prework Study Guide was created to help new developers get started with essential web development technologies including HTML, CSS, Git, and JavaScript. This project aims to provide a comprehensive study resource that addresses the basics of these technologies, offering both theoretical knowledge and practical examples.

Motivation: To create a foundational guide for prework that assists new developers in understanding and practicing the basics of web development. Why: This project was built to provide a structured, easy-to-follow resource for beginners to use before starting more advanced coursework or projects. Problem: It solves the issue of having scattered or overwhelming information by consolidating key concepts into a single, organized guide. Learning: Throughout the project, the importance of structuring information clearly and providing practical examples alongside theoretical content was emphasized.

Installation

Follow these steps to install and set up the project on your local machine:

1.Clone the repository:

git clone git@github.com:Aldonvacriates/prework-study-guide.git

2.Navigate to the project directory: cd prework-study-guide

Open the index.html file in your browser:

You can simply double-click the index.html file, or Open it from the command line using a browser command, e.g., open index.html on Mac or start index.html on Windows.

Usage

The study guide is divided into sections for each technology covered:

HTML: Learn about the structure of a webpage and the basic elements. CSS: Understand how to style your webpage, including layout, colors, and fonts. Git: Get to know version control basics, including commands like git status, git add, git commit, and git push. JavaScript: Introduction to programming with JavaScript, including syntax and basic operations. To use the guide, navigate through each section and read the notes provided. You can also experiment with the code by editing the files and observing the changes in your browser.

🏆 The previous sections are the bare minimum, and your project will ultimately determine the content of this document. You might also want to consider adding the following sections.

Badges

badmath

Badges aren't necessary, but they demonstrate street cred. Badges let other developers know that you know what you're doing. Check out the badges hosted by shields.io. You may not understand what they all represent now, but you will in time.

Features

If your project has a lot of features, list them here.

How to Contribute

If you created an application or package and would like other developers to contribute to it, you can include guidelines for how to do so. The Contributor Covenant is an industry standard, but you can always write your own if you'd prefer.

Tests

Go the extra mile and write tests for your application. Then provide examples on how to run them here.
