SRE Technical Test

Below you will find three tasks that will help demonstrate your techincal apptitude in three separate domains of knowledge.

  1. Infrastructure is best represented as code and provisioning of resources should be automated as much as possible. Here at 2U, Terraform is our tool of choice. In the first task under Infrastructure, write a reusable terraform configuration. If you have any questions regarding how to work within this space, please ask your interviewers.

  2. Assess your ability to write scripts. Scripts help us accomplish day-to-day tasks quickly and more effifiently. Whether it's a one off script to help import, migrate, update terraform states or a task to help developers bootstrap application builds within our ci/cd pipelines.

  3. Finally, we will do a bit of sys admin work. For this we leverage https://sadservers.com which provides some scenarios to solve.
