Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)

This error means that the disc drive failed to read the data sector.

The most common cause of this error is damaged disc (scratches, dirt), or failing disc drive (dirty optical pickup assembly, laser issues, etc).

You may try cleaning or using a different disc drive (different drives can have different error correction code), or simply trying to read the disc multiple times (if the data is partially damaged you may get lucky).
