Infrequent Restarts When Using 8bitdo Receiver #5

When using the 8bitdo 2.4G SNES Receiver I’m experiencing infrequent restarts of the GBA and FPGA board. All the LEDs turn off and on again.

This seems to occur after leaving the console running and I’ve witnessed it happening after the first input into the wireless controller. There will then be several restarts in a row.

I haven’t seen this issue with a stock SNES or SFC controller. I’m going to see if I have a similar issue with my Bluetooth controller/receiver combo.

I can confirm that the 8bitdo Bluetooth receiver is also causing the gbaHD to power cycle and restart. It happens without any interaction with the controller but does take about 5 minutes to occur.

@ChristopherHale the extra current drawn by a wireless receiver might be exceeding what your power supply can provide. You could try putting a bypass capacitor across 5v and GND on the SNES controller connector, which will help if the excess current draw is a short transient.
