Motivation

Users may run Kubernetes per-region / per-AZ for stability or performance. But it is still useful to have centralized Perforator deployment: this is fine because Perforator downtime does not affect workloads.

Desired deployment architecture:

  • One management cluster runs full Perforator deployment
  • Many workload clusters run only Perforator agents, and agents push collected profiles to the management cluster
