I keep getting

Module build failed: Error: The contract code couldn't be stored, please check your gas amount.

using geth on a testnet

my config is

web3Loader: {
    deployedContracts: {
      MyContract: '0x5277xxx'
    }
}

I'm not even sure why it is trying to store anything, the contract is already deployed.
