Error installing desktop version on Windows 7

I don't know if Windows 7 is supposed to be supported, so feel free to ignore this if it isn't.

Windows 7 Home Premium

I got two pop-ups during installation. The first one did not always occur. The second one always occurs and aborts the installation.

Warning 1946.Property 'System.AppUserModel.ID' for shortcut 'us-taxes.lnk' could not be set.

There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.
A program required for this install to complete could no
be run. Contact your support personnel or package
vendor.

Here's what looks to be the cause of the issue. Maybe there's a tauri config we could change?
