OMV install fail on Debian 11 with line 43: exit code 0: while executing command omv-confdbadm populate #2440

If I cannot reproduce the problem on my side, I cannot address an issue that appears to be functioning correctly here.

As this issue is unrelated to the script, it is considered closed. |
this is failing even with default settings:
If this is not a script issue, then it must be an issue with OMV. If so, perhaps the right call is to remove this install script for OMV since it will never work. |
You left out a third option, a @gerald-lnj issue 😉 because I have NO problem creating a OpenMediaVault LXC
|
Well, if we take your machine for reference. Can you tell us which kernel and/or hardware you are using? Quite some people seem to have issues, but they are closed because the script works on your machine. We are obviously thankful for having access to your scripts, but resolving issues or investigating compatibility is difficult this way. I for one am using a 13th gen Intel chip with P & E-cores, non-mainstream motherboard (Kontron).. Etc. |
My system, nothing special:
My focus lies solely on addressing script-related issues (based on my system), while the task of investigating compatibility falls under the responsibility of others. |
Your second server shows IPv6 internet connected, but the first didn't? 71ca43c The script runs without any problems from this end.

fixed it. You need to set a valid local domain. Mine was set to ".", which is somehow okay for linux but not really okay when you try to use it. insert "search <domain.local>" into /etc/resolv.conf and "service network restart" |
2nd Issue fixed as well... It seems like the script doesn't like that my user on proxmox was using zsh as default shell. Changed it with "chsh" back to /bin/bash and restarted the ssh-session. |
The shell issue will soon be fixed, 8a05729. |

yes
A clear and concise description of the issue.
No matter the installation option I select (Default, Advanced, Privileged, Non-privileged, Verbose, etc.) it never installs without errors. I checked other closed issues and saw a lot were closed with just Debian 12 = Unsupported, use Debian 11. But they didn't seem to report afterwards whether 11 worked, which for me is not working.
Which Linux distribution are you employing?
Debian 11
If relevant, including screenshots or a code block can be helpful in clarifying the issue.
The question "Which Linux distribution are you employing" is not precise enough for me to determine whether you meant:
Kernel Info
Version Info
Please provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue.
