I have a problem, that ruins my workflow
Im not picky about metadata, i just let lidarr get it for me, and this is not letting me get lyrics.
Sometimes artist change their artist names and the metadata changes with it, so i cant find lyrics with the new name.
I cant find lyrics for "Runaway" from Ye, but the lyrics from Kanye West exists, and this happens with the whole discography from before he changed his name
Similar with Rahim Redcar

Ideally the backend should have a list of past names for an artist, to allow searching using their past names.

It’s okay to have duplicates on lrclib.net. You can simply contribute a new lyrics record under the artist's updated name. This also allows users who have songs tagged with either the old or new artist name to find the lyrics.

LRCLIB doesn’t aim to be a metadata organizer or deduplication system because it’s an extremely challenging task, requires significant community contributions, and has already been done better by platforms like MusicBrainz.
