Tox cleared this variable in a1c0616220c0 to work around a virtualenv bug (fix codespeak issue 206, whatever that was).
I doubt it is necessary with the virtualenv version tox requires, and I'd like to be able to use the environment variable.

I've ran py.test tests/test_z_cmdline.py. That particular test still works fine; there was one unrelated failure.
