If g:plugs specifies an empty string for the branch key for a given plugin, master is assumed. If the correct branch is in fact main, git rev-list fails and ends the command chain that is supposed to enumerate updates for all plugins.

It seems like git rev-list uses the primary branch unless otherwise specified, so this should be a simple fix (just don't specify a branch if one isn't given).
