Unable to connect PC to lunix machine. Winpinator IP address doesn't look correct

Hello!

Downloaded warpinator on my steam deck and Winpinator on my PC, Everything looks configured properly on the steam deck but on my PC, my ip address in the corner just says 10.0.0.2 and DOES NOT update when i change the network setting from automatic to any other option in my dropdown.
Windows firewall is disabled, but i'm not sure what would set my IP to that. I have a suspicion thats whats causing the non-connection but no idea if i'm being honest.
